home      Worship      Regular Services

Here at the Resurrection we worship the Lord in the Spirit of Holiness. This can mean many things to many people and so there are a number of different services available that focus on different aspects and  styles of worship. Most of our worship services incorporate an Eucharistic celebration, that is, the sharing of holy bread and wine. All baptized people are welcome to share in this sacrament regardless of their denominational affiliations.

At the 8:30am service, what is most notable is the language.  These prayers are largely unchanged since the English Reformation  and were used by Elizabeth I and Shakespeare. It is also a quieter service as there are no hymns. Many members of the congregation like the fact that they can start out their day early with prayer which can equip them for the day and week to come. This service is held in the Lady Chapel to the left of the main altar. Coffee and tea are served after the service every week.

We have a more contemporary Eucharist service at 10:00am. Here we pray in more modern language, and we sing a lot. There is a choir that leads us and occasionally offers us seasonal anthems to enrich the worship atmosphere. There is a child friendly area adjacent to the main church to the right of the main altar where children can play. Parents can keep watch while still remaining in the congregation for the extent of the service. Coffee and tea are served in the hall after the service every week..
